Essays and Miscellaneous Non-Fic

On the Origin of the Species
Yep, this-here's my wacky theory about the "evolution" of the Transformer species. Or at least a part of that evolution. It's based solely upon G1 cartoon "evidence" (Yes, for Nightwind's little universe, the comic does not exist), but it's not remotely like any origin theory that the cartoon ever put forth. No, my theory, unlike the cartoon's theories, actually makes sense! Well...It makes sense to me, anyway. And I extend my deepest apologies to Charles Darwin for stealing the title of his book. You may now commence spinning in your grave, Chuck.

Let's Get Down There and Bend Some...Gender?
(AKA, The Big, Scary TF Sex and Reproduction Essay)
In my opinion, this isn't nearly as titillating as it sounds. But...Well, this is what I think about all of that stuff, and the opinions expressed may offend your moral sensibilities. So, beware! If you tend to be squrimy and squeamish, you might not want to tackle this one. On the other hand, if you tend not to be uptight, you might very well like this one...although you still may not agree with it at all. Comments are, as always, welcome. Even vicious, mindless flames. I'm a big girl; I can take it. You'd just better be prepared to hear me giggling over your insults, is all.
Note: I do recommend that you read the origin essay above before you read this one, though. They're rather tied together.

The Forgotten Hero
Nightwind breaks the mold, goes for broke, and decides that — Gee, Mr. Wilson! — she really likes an honest-to-Primus TF Hero Man™ who isn't Rodimus Prime! A sign of the Apocalypse? Perhaps. Maybe you'd better start stocking up on water and non-perishable food. Oh, and guns. Lots and lots of guns... ;)

Me 'n Screamer
Here's where you can find out why I identify so strongly with a certain Decepticon Air Commander. It's a sad and twisted tale that reveals some alarming truths and wild theories about...well, me n' Screamer. Beware! It's long...and perhaps disturbing for the faint of heart.

The Decepticons and the Women Who Love Them
A short and very scientifically inaccurate dissertation on why I think that female Transfans (including me!) have a marked tendency to be Decepticon fans. Warning! It's potentially offensive to feminists. (Of which I am not, thank you.) And it contains, so I'm told, lots of sociobiology and evolutionary psychology stuff. Really, though, I was just talking out of my butt, as usual...

Evil Is As Evil Does?
Ah, the question that haunts the soul of every Decepticon fan: Are the Decepticons evil? Heck, I don't know! First I have to figure out what the heck "evil" is. And here's what I came up with when I pondered that issue at some length...
